Maria Forbes

Maria has 30 years experience as a social worker and she is accredited with the Australian Association of Social Workers. For the past 10 years she has been chairing Legal Aid Family Law Conferences which assist separated couples in reaching agreements which are in their children's best interests. Maria is registered with the Attorney-General's Department to issue 60I Certificates under that section of the Family Law Act 1975.

Maria prepares social assessments in child protection matters for the Children's Court and the Children Services Tribunal. She also prepares family reports for the Family Court and the Federal Magistrates Court. She recently finished a 6-year contract as an official visitor at Woodford Correctional Centre.

Maria is able to assist people with family dispute resolution and family assessments. She is located in Brisbane and can offer home visits to areas in south-east Queensland and northern New South Wales.
