Gary Shepherd

Gary Shepherd, LLM, MSW, MAIPC, Notary Public, is a solicitor, and social worker, and holds masters degrees in both law and social work. He is a member of the Queensland Law Society and the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors. Gary is registered with the Attorney-General's Department to issue 60I Certificates under that section of the Family Law Act 1975.

Gary practiced as a Solicitor for over 20 years, predominantly in the area of family law. He has practiced for the last 12 years as a mediator (again, predominantly in the area of family law), and for the last 2 years as a report writer, preparing social assessments in the family and children’s court jurisdictions. In the mid-1990’s Gary was a lecturer at the Australian Catholic University in the area of Industrial Relations Law.
